Whether or not you know much about art, they would love to know what you like – about Aylesbury, the surrounding area, the view from your window, the colours and textures around you, your journey into and out of Aylesbury, details in the local landscape – whatever your experience is, it can inspire them.
Laura Boswell has sent an example of a place she knows well with a description of how it inspires her:
This is a patch of land I know very well. I run past it three or four times a week and I'm very fond of it for several reasons. The field shapes are particularly pleasing in the way they connect and flow. Pattern and repeating forms are important to me and trees are a constant feature of my work. I love this stand of trees: the way their trunks are either dark or light depending on their background, the shapes made by their branches and the neat formality of their grouping.

I am fascinated by change within small familiar things. This view is almost infinitely variable thanks to changes in light, weather and the seasons. The green field in the centre has always just been grass, but its colour changes daily: blue, pink, sage, lime, depending on the elements.

I have used this view, in many variations, in my work and it never ceases to please me.
